Chewy Double Chocolate Cookies

Ingredients:

125ml butter (or margarine)

125 ml white sugar

125 ml brown sugar

1 egg

5ml vanilla

250ml flour

90 ml cocoa

3ml baking soda

1ml salt

180 ml chocolate chips

Equipment:

2 large mixing bowls

spoons

measuring equipment

cooling racks

wooden spoon

lifter/flipper

baking sheets

Method:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.

  2. Cream together butter and sugar.

  3. Add egg and vanilla. Beat until light and fluffy.

  4. In a separate bowl, combine flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt.

  5. Slowly add dry mixture to wet mixture, stirring with wooden spoon.

  6. Stir in chocolate chips.

  7. Drop by spoonfuls on to baking sheets. Be sure to space them evenly.

  8. Bake for 9 - 12 minutes. Do not over bake.

  9. Remove baking sheets from oven. Let cookies sit for a couple of minutes.

    Lift onto cooling racks and let stand for another minute or two. Enjoy!
