Math: We are finishing the unit on perfect squares and square roots. Lesson 8-63 explores how to estimate the square roots of non-perfect squares using number lines and fractions, to one decimal place. Complete questions 1-7 on page 132 for Monday. You can now access any lesson that was taught in the classroom. Click on the link below, and sign in to your Google account.

Science: We have completed looking at emergency preparedness. Students have a grab-and-go bag and a flashlight to start their emergency kit supplies. They have also started an emergency plan that can be completed by their family. Next week, we will explore an inquiry question that you are interested in learning more about that is related to plate tectonics.

Miscellaneous: The next pizza day is Friday, January 28. The deadline to order pizza is Tuesday, January 25.

Handouts for all the lessons are available on the homework page. The science Get Ready Guide is too large and cannot be downloaded. It is available in the Google Classroom announcements.
