Math: We are now practicing operations with fractions.
Students are working on adding and subtracting fractions with like and
unlike denominators.
Finish lesson 19, adding and subtracting mixed numbers, page 30, questions 7-10, due Wednesday.
The
worksheet and the answer key is on the homework page. As part of your
practice work, check your answers and see how you can correct any that
need review. If you are stuck, ask me about it next math class.
Miscellaneous: The order deadline for student photos is Wednesday, October 21. Ordering
online is also an option. Photo retakes are scheduled for November
6th.
-The first pizza day will be Friday October 30th and it is by pre-order
only!Two flavours will be offered: pepperoni OR cheese, 2
pieces for $5.00. If you do not wish to have two pieces, students can
organize sharing an order with a friend from their class. Students are
asked to pre-order by Oct. 27 to their homeroom teacher. NO LATE ORDERS
will be taken. Orders will be delivered to our homeroom right before
lunch.
We Scare Hunger Food Drive is on now! Remember to bring your cans of food to support the We Scare Hunger Food Drive. All donations support the Sidney Lions Food Bank. See if your class can bring in 100 cans! There is a prize for the winning division plus a year of bragging rights.
