Math: We are well into our unit on operations with fractions. Students have worked on finding equivalent fractions, turning improper fractions into mixed numbers, and adding fractions and mixed numbers. Currently we are working on subtracting fractions. Complete the 2 sheets on subtracting fractions with unlike denominators and the level 1 sheet on subtracting fractions from whole numbers, Monday for Div. 15 and Tuesday for Div. 13.
Science: Students have nearly completed the biology unit on cells. Currently they are working on researching and cresting a report on one of the human body systems. This should be completed next week.
Miscellaneous:The
grade 8's will be going to see Star Wars Episode VIII next Friday
morning at the Star Cinema in an exclusive private showing. Your child should have brought home a
notice and permission form. Please return it by Monday, Dec. 11.
Reports cards will be sent home on Monday, Dec. 18.
