Yesterday's School Bike League race was a fantastic success. Our 5 NSMS riders performed extremely well, with Kael taking first place for Middle School Boys, Tharen in the same class, and Tori claiming 3rd in the Girls' division in her first ever Super-D race! Next up: the Cross-Country Short Loop on Tuesday. New riders are welcome - registration is still open. You don't need to attend every ride, and there are lots of types of races. Later in the year: the Veledrome & Road Race are scheduled.
Water fact of the day: Did you know that 6000 children die each day from unsafe drinking water? (www.worldvision.ca)
You can help YAC make a difference by donating coins from now until May1st. Winning class gets prizes and we all get to feel great about helping people with one of life's basic necessities: access to clean drinking water. Thanks, everyone, for being generous.
