Dear NSMS Families,

We have had a very safe and respectful first few days back.

ŦE,IT OL U, JIJEȽ SEN EṮ (I truly give thanks to) the members of our District and NSMS Health and Safety Teams along with our staff, students and you as parents and guardians for ensuring that we all do everything possible to keep everyone safe here at North Saanich.

One further reminder we want to share is that for monitoring purposes, we are asking parents to indicate in their communication with the school if their child is away due to illness. You are not required to say if they are Covid positive; however, it is very helpful for us to know how much illness is impacting our school community on any given day.

When you email or call the school regarding absences, please let us know if your child is sick. If they are away for any other reason, please say that they are absent excused. This information will be helpful to our school and district as we move forward and track student illness.

As we move forward together, please help us ensure safety and good health. Families are now requested to use the BC Covid-19 Thrive App when completing a daily health check with their children.

Thank you for your help with this and please reach out if you have any questions.

Sincerely,

David Mark                                        Steve Newlove
