DAILY ANNOUNCEMENTS
Thursday, May 9, 2019
Mountain Bike Club:
Reminder: members need to sign in before lunch if they are riding today.
Grade 8 Rugby:
The grade 8 rugby game has unfortunately been cancelled. The school that is scheduled to come today can't come. It's quite likely that they've heard rumours about how hard it is to play the Hawks and have all developed a case of Hawk Fever. It's common among our opponents who often arrived looking squeamish. Instead, we will have an inter squad game. Hawks vs Hawks. Family feud! Mr. Chambers will speak to you in PE.
Track & Field:
Students who are attending the meet at UVic this afternoon need to respectfully ask their Block 4 teacher to be dismissed early (2:30ish) if your event is expected to begin right at 4:00. Please remember to sign out. Our next meet is on Monday. There will not be a practice on Tuesday, but Wednesday (morning and afternoon) practices will run as usual.
Gauss Math:
Today is our final Gauss prep session before the contest next Wednesday. If you would like to go over any questions or just want a quiet place to work on past contests, come to Ms. Carruthers' room AFTER the eating period.. Watch the announcements for more info about the contest next week.
Dancers:
Meet on the stage today after the lunch eating period.
Grade 6/7 Rugby:
Congratulations to the boys 6/7 rugby team on a GREAT win against perennial power houses St. Michael's University. The boys will be representing North Saanich on Thursday next week at the City Championships. Go Hawks!
KAZ Basketball Camp:
KAZ Basketball is holding a FREE camp on May 19th @ Iroquois Park from 11am-3pm for boys and girls in Grades 6-9. See the school website for more information.
Reminder:
Tomorrow is a non-instructional day.
