Dodgeball:
Congratulations to The Mighty Duckers who are the 2019 NSMS Grade 6/7 dodgeball CHAMPS!!! Cameron Sneek, Eli Sklapsky, Jackson Day and Ms. Mazzocchi are the happy winners of a piece of delicious pizza this Friday! The team survived the losers' bracket to make it to the final and then beat a very strong Predators team TWICE to become champs. See Ms. Stofer at the 6/7 pizza counter for your prize.
Today's lunchtime activity in the gym will be full volleyball games. Everyone is welcome but we'll be playing proper games on both courts.
Grade 6/7 Boys Volleyball:
Practices today and Thursday Feb. 21 from 3:15 - 4:15 in the gym. Game days are Feb. 14 at NSMS (home game), and Feb. 28 at Colquitz Middle School (away game; please ask your teachers to be dismissed at 2:45). Optional volleyball game Wednesday, Feb. 20, here at NSMS, after school. Please contact Mrs. McElgunn for more information.
Grade 8 Boys Volleyball:
No practice today. Please check in with Mrs. T to make sure you have a ride to Monday's game.
Let’s Talk Science
Any students interested in the Let's Talk Science Challenge - please see Mrs. Jones in room 209 to pick up an application form. All application forms are due back by Thursday, February 14.
Viking Cup:
All grade 8 hockey players interested in playing in the Viking Cup hockey game in March need to attend a meeting tomorrow at 12:05 in the Art Room.
Missing sports equipment:
Many of the sports balls are missing from the office. Please check your classrooms and return them as soon as possible.
Pancake Breakfast tickets:
Tickets will be sold in the atrium at lunch time.
Candy-Gram Lollipops:
Valentine candy-gram lollipops for sale in the atrium at lunch after eating time. They are $0.50 each or a class set for $6.00. They are on sale until the 12th and delivered on the 14th.
Parkland Open House: Parkland is hosting an Open House for Grade 8 students and their families today from 5:30-7:30 pm.
