MOUNTAIN BIKE CLUB:  Today’s ride: the plan is Fun Trail or Sofa King.  We’ll decide when we get there. Remember to sign in before the end of lunch if you’re riding with us!  


TECH CREW:  Tomorrow’s meeting is for those helping with Drop Dead Juliet!  If that’s you, then you need to do your best to be at the meeting!


TWIN DAY: Yes, it's Twin Day tomorrow! Dress up like your twin - or a group of twins - then get you picture at lunch in the Atrium.


DRAMA CLUB:   Thursday 3:15 - 4:30 - Full Acting Cast


YEARBOOK:  Reminder of yearbook orders! Please have your orders in by next Friday!



  • Red Hawks rugby players have a home clash today against Cedar Hill and Arbutus!  Tickets are still available for a few lucky fans who hurry out to the Super 8 field after school!  Go Hawks!

  • Boys Rugby White Team will be asking to leave class at 2:25 to get changed and meet in Mr. Greaves Room at 2:30 for our away game.



There will be a lunch meeting for all Teams on Thursday with Mrs. Jones.  Please bring your lunch and come to room 209 - Mrs. Jones might even have some dessert!


DANCE:  Reminder to all dancers of dress rehearsal during advisory today



  • Thank you to everyone who made it out to the first practice yesterday! We hope to see lots of you today!

  • Please continue to return signed permission forms to the envelope by Ms. Carruthers' class (Room 208)

  • Practices start this week: General Practice Tuesday & Wednesday (TODAY) after school (3:15) at PARKLAND, and High Jump practice 8:00am Thursday morning at North Saanich.

  • IMPORTANT NEWS: Also there has been a slight change to the schedule and new schedules will be given out at practices. Please make sure you get one.



Mrs Stofer is having a contest for one lucky person to design the cover of our YEARBOOK!

  • Submissions should be on 8 1/2 X 11 size paper and depict NSMS life!

  • Perhaps: a picture collage, a sports theme, academics, friends that make NSMS what it is,or a hawk.

  • The possibilities are endless. The deadline to submit your entry to Mrs. Stofer directly is April 25. Good luck!



  • Students interested in the Gauss Math Contest on May 16th should talk to their math or advisory teacher to sign up by tomorrow.. Although it is called a 'contest' the emphasis is on participation and challenging yourself.

  • Gauss Girls - Meeting today at lunch in the Art Room. New members are always welcome. Returning members: Bring your work on the 2015 contest and a calculator. Come ready to share your strategies and your questions.

  • Gauss Guys? If you are a guy and you are interested in a similar opportunity as the girls please talk to Ms. Carruthers.
