DAILY ANNOUNCEMENTS
SHOWCASE:
Thank you to all of our staff and students who participated in Showcase. It was a huge success. GO HAWKS!
RUGBY:
The NS White Hawks rugby team had a 'rock, paper, scissors' game with Monterey and Colquitz yesterday. Monterey beat NS. Colquitz beat Monterey. NS beat Colquitz. Go figure! The good news was that we got better from game 1 to game 2. Growth mindset!!!
Congratulations to Grade 8 Team Blue Rugby team on a great game yesterday. The boys tackled as a team and stormed back to win the match. Practices next week for all grade 8 rugby boys will be on Monday and Tuesday after school. Day long jamboree on Wednesday. All players bring $10 to cover food, fields and physiotherapy.

TECH CREW:
Tech Crew members- please ask your Advisory and block 1 teachers if you can help with tear out this morning. Many hands will make light work!
TRACK & FIELD:
Even though it was wet and blustery yesterday afternoon at UVic, NSMS HAWKS performed exceptionally well in all of their events. Great sportsmanship was seen demonstrated by all!
There will be a short TRIPLE JUMP practice at Parkland after school today. Please let Ms. Wheatley know if you are planning to attend.
Also, if you have not filled in your forms for Monday's Track Meet at UVic, please do so as soon as possible! The events are girls and boys 100 m, girls and boys triple jump, and girls and boys 4X100 m (remember...this is only the practice race, not the qualifying one)
BASKETBALL:
Girls basketball Friday at the NSMS gym from 3:15 to 4:15. We welcome all girls (beginner to advanced levels) who attend NSMS. See you there – bring a friend!
SCHOOL PHOTO DAY:
Class photos and our whole school group photo will take place on Tuesday, May 23rd.
Any students who would like to purchase an 8 x 10 WHOLE SCHOOL GROUP PHOTO for $10can pick up an order form at the office.
