The Vancouver Island Regional Library is launching a Teen Reading Mini-Challenge this Friday. The grand prize is an iPad Mini and there is a smaller local prize too. For more information please see Ms. McNee or visit:http://virl.bc.ca/teens/teen-mini-challenge
Let's Talk Science Challenge:
Hopefully teachers have had a chance to show their classes the video from last year's challenge. Any students who are interested should be sure to see Mrs. Jones today to find out what they need to do to be a part of this year's team. Teams will be finalized early next week. Mrs. Jones will be available in her classroom today at lunch - room 209.
VOLLEYBALL:
ALL girls on Mrs. Johnson and Stofer's Volleyball teams please come visit us during advisory today to confirm
if you are planning on attending the pizza wind up party tomorrow.
RUGBY:
Girls Rugby team will have a practice on Monday March 13 at 3:15.
Grade 6/7 Boys Rugby practice Monday 3:15 to 4:15. Bring mouth guards and soccer style cleats.
PARKLAND JAZZ BAND FUNDRAISER:
“Exclusive Fundraiser Movie Screening of DOCTOR STRANGE! Thursday, March 16 at 6:45pm at Sidney’s Star Cinema. All proceeds will support the Parkland Jazz Band as they travel to Nationals in Niagara Falls in May. Enjoy a great movie, excellent popcorn, amazing prizes, and a fun night with friends! Tickets are $10 and are available from the Parkland Secondary office. Seating is limited. Get your tickets ASAP!”
SPIRIT WEEK:
Staff will be handing out Spirit Tickets every day next week. Bring your tickets to the office to be entered for prizes at the Viking Cup. Staff will hand out tickets to students who are showing their Hawk Spirit.
