North Saanich Middle School

Global Friendships Program

North Saanich Middle School is still looking for families to host for our Global Friendships Program.  The group from Japan arrives at 5:00 pm on March 22nd and they leave the morning of March 26th.  The students range in age from 11 - 15 years of age.  On Thursday the group spends the day (9:00-4:00) at Bayside Middle School, and on Friday they spend the day at North Saanich Middle School. Saturday is a home based day to spend with their Canadian Host Families and then they leave from North Saanich Middle School at 7:00am on Sunday morning. This is a whirlwind trip, and always lots of fun.  Our school PAC receives $25 for every NSMS family that participates.

We are still looking for one family to host two girls, one family to host one boy and two families willing to host a female teacher each.  A cheque is issued at the Welcome Ceremony to participating families to help offset food costs.  For more details, or if you have any questions please contact Jessica at jtamburino@sd63.bc.ca or 250-882-9246 as soon as possible.  Thank you!
