French Day!

The French department at NSMS is pleased to announce our second annual French Day! This year's event will fall on Tuesday, Feb. 28, which happens to be Mardi Gras.

The purpose of having a French Day is to demonstrate the variety of cultural components of the Francophone world, including music, art, products, film, and food. Exposure to cultural influences helps students better understand what they learn in class, and can help them understand the real world applications of learning a second language.

In addition to a Quebecois film and Mardi Gras treats, we're offering students a lunch deal. For $5.00, they will receive a croissant with ham and cheese and a side of poutine. Please note that we must pre-order this meal, and therefore must take orders beforehand. If your child would like to partake in our French Day lunch, please fill out the bottom portion of this form, and return it with payment of cash or cheque (payable to School District 63) no later than Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2017.
