Dear Parents:

North Saanich Middle School has been invited to show a documentary film to our student's about the challenges of growing up in an environment with wide access to cell phones and internet. The movie is called Screenagers.  Here is a link to the preview.

The only day that we have permission to show the video is on Thursday, Oct 13, 2016.  That is tomorrow.  We apologize for the late notice, but we did not find out about this opportunity until yesterday.  We have two staff members previewing the movie tonight at the Saanichton showing (see below).  If they feel it is a worthwhile educational opportunity for our students we will air the video tomorrow.  If they feel that the video is only valuable if parents and children watch it together and discuss the content of the movie together, we will not be showing it to our students.

If we show the movie it will be tomorrow morning.  Parents are welcome to attend.  We will place the movie times on the website in the morning or you can call the school for that information at 250-656-1129.  You are also welcome to attend tonight’s movie.
