Week 1
Mr. Greaves' Grade 8 leadership group will be offering dodge ball today at lunchtime for grade 6 and 7 students. No grade 8s please.
All students who are interested in swimming with the NSMS swim team this year, please see Mrs. Timmermans today at lunch time. There is a practice today from 3:45 - 4:30 at Panorama so it's important that you let Mrs. Timmermans know if you are planning to attend. Pirhana swimmers, please let Mrs. Timmermans know if you will be joining the team in December.
Just a reminder that on Dec. 3rd we are having our first French Day at NSMS. On that day the canteen will be serving Poutine , Ham & Cheese croissants and a juice box for $5 , instead of the regular Thursday combo. Bring your money in to get in on the fun!
The grade 8 hand ball final is set for this Monday at lunch. Team 4 (John Mark, Jerico, Emma, Chelsea, Brendan, Marshall, Josh, Ollie and Reid) takes on team 3 (Clayton, Hindowa, Mackenzie, Zach, Colton, Andrew, Ethan L., Jacob and Ethan W.) . The winner of the final will get a chance to take on the RCMP hand ball team at the Monday assembly on Dec 14th.
The grade 6/7 playoffs start on Tuesday between Div 6 and Div 2. Wednesday's battle will be between Div 1 and Div 9.
The final will be between the winners of those two games and will take place next Thursday.
The grade 8 boys basketball teams are playing each other today after school.
Mr. Cooper's grade 6/7 boys bball team faced two mighty opponents last night. Even though they gave it 110% and had all lines firing, it was not enough. Surely, the sting of defeat will be tempered into a steely, resolved determination to trounce the opposition at their next athletic undertaking.
