Volleyball:

Way to go grade 6/7 girls volleyball teams! You played hard, supported each other and represented NSMS well. You are awesome! From Mrs. Beaudry and Mrs. Johnson. GO HAWKS!

YAC:

Valentine-Grams are now on sale!!! It's going to be a "freaky" kind of Valentine's Day here at NSMS because we are celebrating on Friday the 13th!!! YAC members will be selling the Valentine's in the Atrium at both lunch time and recess starting on Thursday. Remember...without a candy treat they are $1 each and with a candy treat they are $2 each. They will be hand delivered during Advisory on the morning of Friday the 13th.

A reminder to Aliyah, Zach, and Shianne that you are selling them tomorrow.

Canteen:

Wednesday's 5.00 combo Hotdog, chips, juice and a Brownie, volunteers are Kirsten and Olivia. Thursday's $5.00 combo Grilled Pita and Tzatziki, juice and chocolate chip cookie, volunteers are Steph and Jessica.

Global Friendships:

We are still looking for families willing to host students from Japan in March.  We need 5 more families to host pairs of students, and 3 families who would be willing to host a teacher.  Please contact Mrs. Tamburino if your family would like to participate.

French:

French consent forms: Could all boys please remember to bring in your French consent forms for Dylan Trerice,( the UVIC masters' student) by Friday, whether or not you are participating  So far only 25 forms have come back and that is not enough for Dylan to do his research. The only thing you will have to do when Dylan returns, is fill out a survey based on your feelings about learning French.

Playground Pals:

Looking for something to do at lunch?  Grade 8 leaders will be running activities in the MPR on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays. After the eating period, line up outside the MPR and wait for Mr. Demers to ask you to come in.
