Hello and happy Friday.
Thank you to everyone who attended our grade 5 parent meeting last night. It was so wonderful for our staff to get the opportunity to connect with you and share some information about NSMS. We wanted to make sure that anyone who was unable to attend has access to the information we shared and so have linked our presentation from last night here.
We had the opportunity to have our new Hawks visit us yesterday. It was fantastic! We were so impressed with how keen and eager they were to connect with our staff, student leaders and the grade 5s from other schools and hear about the many opportunities we offer here at NSMS. I was also extremely impressed by how respectful they were as a group during the opening assembly, tours of our school, watching our band perform and during the pizza eating and question and answer part of our day. The future looks incredibly bright. Here is a link to the video we shared with your children.
We hope that the tour helped to answer many of the questions that your children had and alleviate some of the uncertainty of the transition to middle school. We will also be visiting our feeder schools in the near future to talk more about the many opportunities we have at NSMS and answer any further questions.
Just a reminder that on June 7, we will hold an open house from 4-5 and all parents and students will be invited to this opportunity to visit and tour the school in person. We will share more information as we get closer to the date
