DAILY ANNOUNCEMENTS

GLOBAL FRIENDSHIPS:

On Tuesday, March 27th we will have a group of students from Japan here enjoying a fun day of activities.  Students will have the opportunity to participate in six Canadian themed activity stations:  Art, Home Ec, games in the gym, dance, word games, and drama games.  We are looking for a group of NSMS students to participate and show our visiting guests our school.  If you are interested please talk to Mrs. Tamburino in the office.


INTRAMURALS:

Today's intramural soccer game is between Manchester City and Liverpool.   Grade 8 players should look at the team list on the bulletin board by the grade 8 bathroom.  Tomorrow's grade 6/7 game is between Div 1 and Div 8.


VOLLEYBALL:

Grade 6/7 boys volleyball - any players that were not at practice this morning, please come and check in with Mrs. Jones today about our home games tomorrow.


DRAMA:

Stage Craft/Props Guild - Meeting Wednesday at lunch in Ms. Mazzocchi's room (room 201)

Costume Guild - Listen to the announcements this week for further details about your next meeting


LEADERSHIP: Photographers

Reminder that Gavin & Zach are scheduled to take photos on Thursday after school.


LOST & FOUND:

Just a reminder that the lost and found is displayed in the Atrium. Please have a look and grab your things. All unclaimed items will be donated to Beacon Community Services on Thursday, February 22 at 12:00.


RUGBY:

  1. Girls Rugby practice Thursday morning at 8:15 in the MPR (more time for Carys to sleep).

  2. Grade 6 and 7 Boys wanting to play rugby at nsms.  Practice after school from 3:15-4:15.  Bring mouth guard and cleats if you have them.  Meet in MPR.


BALLET:

We are inviting students interested in ballet to the MPR room on Wednesday, Feb. 21 at 1:00 PM to view a performance of the BC Ballet dress rehearsal for their production of Shakespeare's "Romeo and Juliet".  Students must notify their Advisory teachers that they are interested and their teacher will notify Mrs. Chambers that they have permission to attend.
