LOST & FOUND:
Our NSMS Lost and Found will be on display in the Atrium until Friday, Feb. 17. If you are missing any small items such as keys, jewelry, ipods, or ear buds please check in at the office. Please come and claim your belongings. Any unclaimed items will be donated to Beacon Community Services. PLEASE CHECK THE TABLES TODAY! EVEN IF YOU ARE CERTAIN YOU COULDN’T POSSIBLY HAVE LOST ANYTHING IT IS WORTH CHECKING!
GLOBAL FRIENDSHIPS:
We are still looking for a few families to host pairs of students from Japan. (March 22nd - March 26) We are also hoping that two NSMS Families would be interested in hosting a female teacher. Please contact Mrs. Tamburino at jtamburino@sd63.bc.ca as soon as possible if you are interested. Thank you!
VOLLEYBALL:
Grade 6 Girls Volleyball Players: We have our first away game at Bayside on Tuesday next week. If you missed the practice on Tuesday, please see Mrs. Beaudry this week to get a permission form.
Grade 6/7 boys volleyball practice Monday Feb. 20 from 3:15-4pm.
Grade 6/7 boys volleyball final game day at Bayside Middle School on Thursday, Feb. 23. Please ask your block 4 teachers to be dismissed at 2:45 and meet Mme McElgunn and your parent/guardian drivers in the atrium to organize rides.
Grade 8 Boys volleyball meeting in Mrs. Beaudry's room at lunch after the eating period. 12:05
*You will be meeting with Ms. McElgunn as Mrs. Bowles is sick.
RUGBY:
6/7 RUGBY-first practice was great with 50 Hawks attending! Another introductory practice for any 6/7 students interested in playing rugby will be held on Wednesday after school 3:15-4:15 in MPR. Bring PE strip and grit.
BAND FUNDRAISER:
Purdy's Easter Chocolates - The band students are collecting orders for Purdy's Easter Chocolates to offset costs for the Whistler 2017 trip.
If you would like to order chocolates for Easter, please contact Mary-Ellen Lundgren for ordering information, or pick up an order form at the office. Orders are due March 16 and will be available for pick up at the school on or after March 30th. Mary-Ellen: 778 967 2698 or melon_edwards@hotmail.com
