Apple Crisp
Apple Crisp
Ingredients for apples:
2 apples
25 ml orange juice
10 ml lemon juice
25 ml white sugar
2 ml cinnamon
Method:
1. Do lab prep
2. Wash apples. Peel and slice into thin slices.
3. Put apple slices into baking dish.
4. Add juices.
5. Mix sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl (custard cup) and then sprinkle over the apple slices.
6. Cover dish and place in fridge.
Ingredients for crisp topping:
50 ml whole wheat flour
50 ml rolled oats
50 ml brown sugar
25 ml margarine
Method:
1. Do lab prep.
2. Preheat oven to 400°F.
3. In a small bowl, mix together the flour, rolled oats, brown sugar and margarine.
4. Work the mixture together until it looks like bread crumbs, then sprinkle it over the apples.
5. Bake for about 20 minutes, or until apples are soft and the topping is golden brown.
